In loving memory of our beloved Jonathan Bain.

Donation protected
Hello. My name is Theresa. Jimmy Bain and I are reaching out to all of our family, friends, relatives and everyone regarding our beloved Jonathan Bain (September 2, 1993 - August 18, 2023).

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM, Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Dryden Funeral Home and Chapel, 1467 Almon Street, Heflin, Alabama with Rev. Jeremy Houck and Rebecca Dempsey Armstrong officiating. Visitation hours will be between 1:00PM and 2:00PM. Burial will follow in Pinetucky Cemetery.

I first met Jonathan 17 years ago, who was just a 13-year-old, quiet and shy, but a very polite, respectful and well-mannered teenager. Jonathan was a loving son to Jimmy and Tilli, a brother to Joshua, Jacob and Hanna, an uncle to Mason, Dallas, Kayleigh and Ivy, a nephew, a cousin and a friend to all.

On the morning of Wednesday, August 16, 2023, Jonathan suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. He was airlifted to UAB Hospital, where he remained on life support until all of his vital and viable organs, tissues and bones have been donated.

Even in after-life, Jonathan continues to be selfless, compassionate, caring and giving, spreading and sharing love, helping humanity thrive with every bit of him by saving many other lives.

Jonathan was the kindest soul you could ever meet. He was a humble person who would do anything for anyone. He was such a great young man who had so much potential.

We love you, Jonathan. You've touched us all and others in many ways. As your spirit lives on, and while you live on in others, in our hearts is where you'll stay forever. You are at peace now, but will be missed very much by all those you left behind.

Oh Lord, lend Your ear to our prayers in which we beseech You, in Your mercy, to welcome into the realm of peace and light the soul of Your child Jonathan Bain.

Eternal rest grant unto him Oh Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Your donation, however much, greatly helps and is truly and sincerely appreciated. It's going towards Jonathan's medical and funeral expenses. Thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers, love and support. It truly means a lot.

Also, please, if you or someone you know is struggling emotionally or having a hard time, please know that help is available.
