My name is Jonas Ferro. I’m 26 years old, and right now my life looks nothing like I imagined it would.

Not long ago, I was working, building my future, and doing my best to stay on track like anyone else my age. Then everything changed. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer—a diagnosis that doesn’t just affect your health, it reshapes every part of your life overnight.

Since then, my days have been filled with doctor visits, treatments, procedures, and pain that makes it impossible to work or maintain any kind of normal routine. Something as simple as getting through the day can feel like a full-time battle. I’ve had to step away from work completely, not by choice, but because my body won’t allow me to keep up.

On top of the physical and emotional toll, the financial strain has been overwhelming. I’m currently in the process of trying to get Medicaid, but until that comes through, every appointment, treatment, and medication is being paid out of pocket. The costs add up quickly, and it’s hard not to feel buried under the weight of it all.

This isn’t just a fight for my health—it’s a fight to stay afloat while I go through it.

I’m asking for help because I truly can’t do this alone right now. Any support—whether it’s financial, sharing my story, or simply keeping me in your prayer's—makes a real difference. It gives me a little more room to focus on what matters most: getting through treatment and fighting for my life.

I still have hope. I still have goals. And I still want the chance to move forward when this is over.
