Jonah Paulos' battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Donation protected
My cousin, Jonah Paulos, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia just over one month ago. Jonah is facing the battle of his life at just 24 years old. He was immediately hospitalized once the AML diagnosis was made. He was being treated at Princess Margaret Hospital and recently went home to recuperate after intense, non-stop, multiday IV chemo treatments. However, Jonah will now be going back to the hospital sooner than planned as his situation has gotten worse with confirmed cancer in his spine. His Dad and Jonah's financée, Lara, have been by his side non-stop to help care for him and provide support in any way possible. We are thankful for the care and treatment Jonah is receiving, and we hope and pray that his road ahead, although extremely challenging, will lead to remission and better days.
We are reaching out with this fundraiser to offer financial support. Phillip Paulos (Jonah's Dad) is a single-parent, self-employed father and has been unable to work as he is with Jonah every day along with Lara - they take shifts and have been renting hotel rooms in Toronto in order to be close by to Jonah 24/7. The cost of hotels, food and gas quickly adds up. Our goal is to help ease their financial situation for Phillip so that he has one less thing to worry about and allow him to keep focused on Jonah’s physical, mental and emotional health.
Your positive thoughts and prayers are appreciated as well as any donation you are able to provide. We are extremely grateful for your support, thank you.
