Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my story My name is Jonah Goodno. I recently found out I have Stage 4 small cell lung cancer that has metastasized to my liver, kidney, and pancreas.

I went in for a routine pulmonologist appointment on April 8th as I have severe COPD. I had a regular check up with my pulmonologist on April 8th I have been having more shortness of breath recently so my pulmonologist ordered a CT scan. Went straight to Sandpoint from CDA to do the scan. My pulmonologist called us on the 10th and the CT scan came back with a large mass on the left lung and noticed some nodes on the liver. So she ordered a CT scan for the lower stomach area. We got that done on the 10th. The pulmonologist called us on the 13th and the CT scan showed nodes on the liver and pancreas as well. I went in April 16th to KMC for a biopsy and an appointment set up for April 22nd.

I went in for my oncologist appointment Wednesday the 22nd. I go for an MRI on the 29th to see if it has entered my throat and brain. Then I goin on the 30th to get a port put in. Then May 5th I will be starting Chemo.

The doctor discussed how the goal of therapy is control as opposed to cure. The doctor said the prognosis would be without treatment he would likely expect 8-12 weeks of survival given the rapidity of the disease growth. With treatment, data supports survival of anywhere from 12-15 months pending response.

I am going to fight as long as I can. This GoFundMe will go to help my wife Katie with end of life costs, monthly bills, and traveling from Priest River to Post Falls at least 3 days a week.
