Jon Wilson's Funeral Expenses & Medical Bills

Hi everyone, my name is Rachael Welliver. It’s with such a heavy heart that I ask you to consider helping my sister, Taylor Wilson.

Last July 4th, Taylor married the love of her life, Jonathan Wilson, after spending many beautiful years together. Throughout those years, they bought a house, began raising their two dogs, Ellie and Rideau, and started planning their life together. Jon had an amazing group of friends who he was very close with and so many others who loved him deeply. If you were someone lucky enough to know Jon, you know just how quickly he could light up a room with his infectious smile and extremely contagious laugh. Jon was a husband, son, brother, uncle, friend, athlete and absolutely everything to his wife, Taylor.

Unfortunately, on the evening of Saturday, August 7th, Jon went into sudden cardiac arrest. He was rushed to the Berwick Hospital. From there, Jon was soon life flighted to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville and placed in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Jon spent the next 11 days in the Neuro ICU in a coma and on life support. While Jon was at Geisinger, he received the most wonderful care from each of the nurses and doctors. These nurses and doctors also showed my sister so much love and compassion during her long stays with her husband. Sadly, Jonathan, 31, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021.

With every effort to save his life, Jonathan experienced an abundance of tests, scans, (you name it) during his stay. After ruling out all obvious causes, there is still no real explanation as to why this happened to Jon. Unfortunately, all of this comes with a very expensive price tag. Anyone who personally knows my sister, knows she won't ask for financial help herself but she could use it. With Taylor only 28 years old and Jonny only 31, they had never talked or prepared themselves for a moment such as this. Who would? Just as Taylor thought life was beginning with her new husband, her entire world has been turned upside down.
