On January 14, at approximately 4:30pm, Jon was in a horrific traffic collision.

While driving with his family on the 215 Beltway, they witnessed a car lose control and run into the median coming to a stop. Due to the severity of the collision along with not knowing the extent of the driver’s injuries, Jon felt compelled to help. He pulled over and ran to the crashed vehicle to assist any injured persons in any way he could. As he was assisting, he was struck by an oncoming car. Jon was severely injured and sustained a large open wound to his head and a compound fractured arm. He was transported via ambulance to the Emergency Room where he was treated. Jon received several stitches to his head the night of the collision. On Jan 15 (next day) he was stable enough to have his arm surgically set.

Jon is stable at this time but will endure a long recovery. This GoFundMe will help him and his family with medical costs and finances for the next few months as he recovers. We thank you all for thinking of Jon and family and will keep everyone informed as we receive updates.
