Jon Vaughn: This Is Why We Stand
Donation protected
My name is Shannon Henry and I am raising money for my dear friend and fellow survivor of sexual assault, Jon Vaughn.
Today, is day 18 of the first 100, that Jon has spent 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, rain or shine camping in a tent outside of the President's house at the University of Michigan with one request- to speak to both President Schlissel and the UM Board of Regents on behalf of sexual assault and rape victims/survivors of Dr. Robert Anderson who worked at the university from 1966-2003. During this time Dr. Anderson raped and sexually assaulted over 2,100 athletes, students, and staff on the University of Michigan campus.
Despite the bravery of individuals coming forward and sharing their horrific experiences, which include unnecessary prostate exams and the collection of sperm samples under the guise of medical treatment and university sanctioned medical studies, Jon stands as one of the few voices for justice.
Enough has not been done to recognize, address, and help heal those still hurting in the aftermath of decades of trauma. Jon's mission is simple: to ensure the safety and healing of those entrusted to the University of Michigan's care, past, present, and future.
Please stand with us by donating today to help him ensure all survivors are heard, safety is assured, and this critical mission is accomplished for everyone, everywhere.
