Purchase a New Instrument After Car Break-in

Hello,

My name is Jon and I recently moved from Southern California to Eugene, OR to start a PhD at the University of Oregon. While traveling, I stopped off at a hotel to rest for the night, and during the time I was sleeping, my car window was smashed open and I had valuable items stolen.

The items stolen include a suitcase full of clothes, a PS5, a professional model clarinet, and both of my professional model trombones (Bass Trombone and Tenor Trombone). Having been a musician for a large portion of my life, it feels as if a part of my identity has been stolen. I had planned on joining ensembles on campus as well as within the community and now that is no longer the case.

While I would love to be able to replace everything, I know that would be a massive ask. Trombone has been my main instrument for a very long time, it has taken me all over the world, and I even graduated as a trombone performance major for my bachelor's degree. With that, I am currently looking to raise funds in order to purchase a bass trombone that is similar to the one I was playing on before it was stolen. I know eventually, I will manage to acquire the other items one way or another, but I can't imagine not playing for any longer than I have already.

I am extremely appreciative of anyone donating or even sharing my post to get the word out! Any and all funds will go towards the purchase of a new bass trombone.
