Jon Perkins

Hello,

My name is Sean Grinch from Shadyside, Ohio.  I am the President of the Tiger 4-Man in Shadyside, Ohio.  Each year, a group of past Ohio Valley Athletes gather in Shadyside to compete in what has become the annual Shadyside Tiger 4-Man. Teams of four are drafted and then compete against one another in a series of events including a golf scramble, volleyball tournament, cornhole, along with several other events throughout the day.

The Tiger 4-Man has evolved into a powerful fundraising platform geared toward helping members of the local community in need. Over the past several years, the Tiger 4-Man has raised well over $175,000, which has been donated to young people faced with various difficult situations such as pediatric cancer, pneumonia, Cystic Fibrosis, car accidents, heart conditions, etc.

This year the Tiger 4-Man will be raising money on behalf of Jon Perkins of Shadyside, Ohio. Jon has been undergoing chemo treatments for the past six months. He is scheduled to have surgery at Ohio State Medical Center in the near future.

Jon is a school teacher at Monroe Central High School as well as a basketball coach in the Ohio Youth Basketball League. He is married to Bethany Perkins. Bethany is an elementary school teacher at Jefferson Elementary in Shadyside. They have one child Lincoln (2), and reside in Shadyside, Ohio.

The 4-Man Council was made aware of Jon and his family’s situation through a member of the Tiger 4-Man Council. I myself am not related to the Perkins family. It is the Tiger 4-Man’s pleasure to have the opportunity to aid Jon and his family.  As always of course, 100% of any and all donations made will go directly towards Jon and his family as they continue to fight this battle and pay for the many medical expenses that have accrued over the past months.  The fundraiser will end Monday July 1. A check will be presented to Jon's family following the fundraiser.  Please do your part, spread the word, and donate today.
