Most of my friends and family are aware of my situation but sharing to add context to my ask. I have been in constant pain since I lost my spleen in January of 2020. I had a splenic infarct late 2019 that after some issues resulted in removal. We have had more doctor’s visits than I can count. We are back at Mayo hospital in Jacksonville for a third time. We have been here 2 weeks, a week longer than planned. We have had several new tests done but still have no official diagnosis. We have another test this coming Thursday the 13th, an Endoscopic Ultrasound to look at my pancreas that requires a blood thinner bridge and a follow up for results after. I was hoping we would be able to afford to stay until testing is done but I don’t know if that is financially feasible. Being in constant pain for four and a half years takes a huge mental, physical, and financial toll. Those that know me understand that asking for help is not easy for me, living with pain humbles you in ways you never imagined so here I am asking you all for help because without it I may never escape the situation my failing body has put me in. With your help, I can stay at Mayo until a diagnosis and potentially a treatment is found to relieve the pain and allow me to get back to being me or at least as close as I can get.
