Jon Majors Cardiac Healing
Donation protected
On Sunday, December 15, 2019, Jon Majors suffered a major heart attack and dropped dead in his daughter's home. He received approx. 80 minutes of CPR, was shocked 8 times, coded 3 times, and was unconscious for nearly 2 hours. He's ALIVE and on the mend because of the life saving CPR, prayers and care and love he received, and we are SO GRATEFUL! *See the whole story at the end*
He had 90% blockages in 2 arteries - the Right Coronary Artery and Left Marginal Artery. He received 2 stints, and the Dr says his heart looks so healthy and doesn't have any damage. He also has zero brain damage and has the full function of his body and says he even feels like his vision is better!
Doctors have all said he's doing AMAZING, and although they've said Doctors don't believe in miracles, this is a MIRACLE! Praise God!
He will be participating in Cardiac Rehab for at least the next three months. He begins January 9th. He has a new medication regimen and a strict diet, exercise, and life style change.
We are local small business owners who not only run multiple businesses, but also participate in giving back to our community. In 2017, Jon left a full-time corporate job with health insurance to run a local youth non-profit, Joel's Place. Due to the extreme costs of health insurance, we are uninsured. These costs far exceed what we are able to pay ourselves, and we need some help.
Just our hospital bill alone is over $120,000. Cardiac Rehab will be about $1,000 per week, and the medication will be about $1,000 per month.
We are so grateful for all the love, prayers and support we've received so far and thank you for any contribution made. God bless you!
Our Story: We were dropping our 3-year-old granddaughter off at our daughters home Sunday morning. Jon was behind me with our grandgirl in his arms, along with a big ol toy because he thinks he's Superman, and we walked in the front door. I ran to pee really quick and came back out, probably 1 min later, to find Jon had slide down the wall and was sitting on the ground dead...he literally dropped dead! I got him on his back on the floor and away from the door. I am CPR trained, thank God, and our daughter's boyfriend, is in the Air Force and is trained also, so we got to work. Our daughter called 911. Our grand babies were watching the entire time. Jon's heart was stopped and he wasn't breathing. Shawn was doing compressions and I was breathing and keeping his airway open. I was praying and praying.
About 4 minutes in I watched his eyes begin to dilate and then he started peeing, and that is when I knew he was leaving us. In this moment I instantly saw what our lives would be like without him, as I saw him leaving us, and I just found that completely unacceptable. I laid my hands on him and asked/commanded God to, "In Jesus Name, breath life back into my husband," he immediately began to gurgle for breathe!
Paramedics arrived after about 10-15 min. They worked on him in the house for about an hour before transporting him. His heart was stopped for over an hour, we estimate. He was shocked 8 times and was dead 3 times. He coded in the ambulance and the ER.
I felt what it felt like to lose my husband and here he is, alive and thriving already! He has ZERO brain damage and the full use of his body! Our children have their daddy and our grand-babies have their Papa! We are so incredibly grateful and blessed!
Here's what we know and will shout from the roof tops the rest of our lives.
1) Everyone needs to know CPR.
2.) God is real and He hears our prayers.
3.) All that matters is love.
We love you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Jen & Jon Majors and Family
