Jon Hillukka

On Monday, January 24th, my youngest brother, Jon, had a massive seizure. He was rushed to HCMC in Minneapolis. After numerous scans, they determined that Jon had a tumor in his brain. This would explain why Jon had been experiencing headaches and tiredness lately.

 

He had open brain surgery today, and the surgeon removed the tumor. Jon is currently in the ICU at HCMC, and he will be there for some time. We are all thankful that Jon did amazing today in surgery, and we were able to speak to him tonight for a short time. Jon has a very kind nature and can add humor to any situation. Talking to him this evening, we heard some of Jon's humor.

 

Jon drives a truck for a living while his wife Krystal cares for their five children. Due to the seizure, brain surgery, and future treatments, including physical and occupational therapy and other possible treatments (to be determined when the pathology report comes), Jon will not be able to drive or work for many months.

 

We pray for a fast and full recovery, God willing. Please remember Jon and Krystal and their family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
