Jon Grove Memorial Theta Chi Improvement Fund

Jon Grove was a beloved friend and brother of Theta Chi Fraternity from 1986-1989 at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Sadly he passed away on April 5, 2020. Jon will forever be remembered for his friendship, kindness, sense of humor, and playful spirit. Thank you Jon for reuniting nearly 100 of your brothers in the days since your passing. You are in our hearts and our spirit. Friends forever, brothers forever.
Please join in memorializing Jon with a donation. The funds will be donated to Theta Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity for a specific (to be determined) house improvement project and there will be a permanent memorial installed at the chapter house to commemorate Jon and celebrate his life. Please make your donation as soon as possible but no later than May 31, 2020 so we can properly plan and allocate to the project and the memorial for Jon. We will be planning a gathering for Theta Chi brothers in the fall at the chapter house at 496 North Pleasant Street to reunite, observe the improvements, and pay tribute to our friend and brother Jon Grove.
Brother Joe Wiza '89 will be directly responsible for managing and allocating the funds. Joe has had direct discussions with the current Theta Chi Chapter President (Ben Rotker) and Theta Corp. Alumni Board President (Adam Hollander) and they share their condolences as well as welcome your contributions and Jon's memorial. Joe will be working with them directly to identify the specific improvement project and most opportune form of memorializing Jon at the chapter house. Theta Chi Umass website
