Jon Esser Triathlon's Tribute

On 27th May 2024 Chris Cox, Hollie Dascombe, Rafael Kamalov, Daniel Remón Pacheco, Itziar Rojo, and Oliver Savill (members of the Bristol G&T team at AtkinsRéalis) are going to take part in the Westonbirt Sprint Triathlon.

None of them have competed in anything like this before, so they have been training for months to complete the 400m swim, 22km cycle, and 5km run.

They are going to be doing it in memory of Jon Esser, who would have been celebrating his 50th birthday a few weeks previously. Jon was a very capable triathlete, competing in numerous events, including a half iron man.

They will be fundraising for St Peter’s Hospice and would welcome your support, either with donations or just by cheering them on (in person or in spirit).

St Peter's Hospice is Bristol's Hospice, caring for people in the local area who are living with incurable cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. Last year they cared for over 2,000 local people and their families. All their services are provided completely free of charge and they rely on donations and legacies from the local community to help them continue providing their specialised care to those who need it.
