Help Support Jolynn After a Sudden Stroke
Early Wednesday morning, our dear friend Jolynn was found unresponsive by her husband and was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. After a series of urgent tests, it was confirmed that she suffered a stroke caused by a severe brain bleed due to dangerously high blood pressure.
Doctors have found a 3cm basal ganglia hemorrhage on the right side of her brain. Currently, her left side is unresponsive to movement, although she can still feel touch, which gives us hope. Jolynn is now in the ICU, being closely monitored. The next 72 hours are critical as her care team ensures her brain continues to get the oxygen it needs to heal. A neurosurgeon is scheduled to evaluate her for further testing—or possible surgery—very soon.
This has been a life-changing event for Jolynn and her husband. As she begins what will be a long and uncertain road to recovery, they are already facing:
• Missed days and weeks of work
• Medical bills and ongoing therapy costs
• Hotel and food expenses while staying close to the hospital
• Travel costs and other unexpected expenses
Jolynn has always been someone who brings warmth, light, laughter, and love into the lives of everyone she meets. Now she and her husband need our support more than ever.
If you’re able to donate, no amount is too small—every bit helps ease their burden. And if you can’t give right now, please share this message, and most importantly, keep Jolynn in your prayers during this critical time.
Let’s wrap this incredible woman and her family in love, support, and hope.
