My name is Yvette and I am the eldest child and daughter of Jolyn. My papa was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis on October 2020. On January 2022 he and my family got COVID-19, causing long term symptoms for him such as loss of apetite and taste; loosing over 150lbs in a year. Since then he had several complications that affected his breathing, which lead to a recent hospitalizations with diagnoses of COPD, myobacterial abscessusin the lungs, and Bronchiectasis on June 2023, discharged with a PICC line and home antibiotics for one year.

As a family my dad and mother sought out for a better life in America in 2004. Not long after he suffered an MI and was stented. Then in 2007 he underwent triple bypass open heart surgery at the age of 42. In 2009 my brother Jayden was born. As a family family man he went on and did many wonderful things with his career.

He has been a nurse for over 20 years working at several facilities all over America including: SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY as a CTICU RN; St. Claire's Hospital in Denville, NJ; MD Anderson Houston, TX as a Research Nurse in the Myeloma/Lymphoma Research Department; Sunrise Hospital Medical Center and Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, NV.

After his hospitalization on August 4th, 2023 at Southern Hills Hospital my family had decided to make a difficult decision to bring him home with home hospice. At this time my mom and I are both on leave from work to be at my papas side to keep him comfortable, while my brother Jayden starts his first year as a freshman in high school.
