My name is Jolly, and on 16 March 2024, I had a bike accident which completely severed my spinal cord at the T5 vertebrae, meaning that I lost sensation and feeling from half my chest down.

I am fundraising to raise funds for the required home modification, which NDIS will not fund. A few years before my injury, I did a knockdown rebuild of my home and had not considered the possibility of being a wheelchair user. My bedroom is on the second floor, and without a lift, I will not be able to maintain my pre-accident lifestyle without major changes to the first floor (likely exceeding the cost of the lift).

I am working hard every day to gain independence and return to my pre-accident life. This will include competing in Triathlons again, and I will be completing the City2Surf 2024 to raise funds for this.
