The Joliet Ravens 8th grade team is the latest in a long line of Ravens teams to make the trip to Florida in an attempt to bring home a National Championship, but these kids need your assistance.  An invitation to the UYFL championships in Tampa is an honor and exemplifies the hardwork and dedication of these boys and coaches have put in the last 16 weeks.  Many of our  boys will not be able to make the trip without the help of generous people.  Our Ravens players come from a variety of economic backgrounds with many that would not be able to play this season if each player was not  given the opportunity to sell tickets to cover their registration fees; unfortunately, that is not an option for post season travel.  Our coaches are volunteers, most of which do not have a child on the team. This is bigger than just football, the coaches are doing their best to help these boys build character, be disciplined, build social skills and friendships that last a lifetime, be respectful, focus on academics and stay out of trouble.  All donations will be used and contributed to travel expenses such as airfare, lodging, food, team van rental, and fuel. Your generosity will ensure all coaches and players are able to compete in the National Championship.  Thank you for you consideration. Go Ravens!


Update: The Joliet Ravens would like to thank all of the the generous people who donated to help these boys and coaches make this trip possible. We have exceeded our goal due to the generosity of all of you. The funds are going to be withdrawn at this time by our president so that the team has the money to make their trip. The funds are being used for the players and coaches hotel rooms, 2 rental vans, some flights and any extra for team meal in florida. Again I want to thank you for your support and our boys will do their best to bring back a national championship.
