Jolene Keller's Health Fund

My good friend and co-worker Jolene is suffering.  Jolene is a massage therapist at my chiropractic office.  She is mother of a sweet gradeschool boy named Race and wife to her husband John.   Jolene started noticing pain in her left shoulder and as a massage therapist we all assumed she had just "overdone" it.   The pain became unrelenting and she soon could no longer raise her arm.  Jolene didn't make a big deal out of this because she's not a complainer and she's a really tough person but it became obvious that icing, stretching, adjusting, and rest were not helping this get better.   Cortisone shots and trigger point injections did nothing.  We knew an MRI needed to be done and money was already tight but she found a place that would take cash at a reasonable rate.   We assumed a rotator cuff issue would be the worst  possible news.  We were wrong.  It turns out the rotator cuff was fine, but what WAS found was an aggressively growing neoplastic mass in the bone of her shoulder blade (socket)  that is breaking through the outer layer of bone.  I can't imagine her pain and now the fear of malignant cancer in the worst case scenario.  The best case scenario seems to be an invasive surgery to remove this tumor (benign or not)  that directly affects her ability to work as a massage therapist for who knows how long.   Jolene and her family have no medical insurance.  Her husband is out of work for the time being and they just don't quite qualify for ACCESS insurance.  Money is desperately needed to start to diagnose and treat this quickly as I fear waiting several months to try and qualify for state funded  insurance could prove to be life threatening.   Thank you SO much  to ANYONE who donates to this lovely person in need.  She is loved and blessed to have a community that is willing to help.
