Jolee Medical Emergency Fund

Last night in the wee hours of June 21, 2020 Jolee Rogelstad was home alone when she fell and severely broke her hip, on her way to use the rest room.

She lay without help or ability to move to get to her cellphone for hours before someone came within hearing distance and heard her cries for help.

When the EMTs came, they had to break in to where she was just to get to her.

Now in the hospital, Jolee learned she broke her hip in two and has surgery to replace and repair the damaged hip.

Until her surgery, Jolee is in a lot of pain, and meds only every 4 hours, so she needs her rest, but she can be reached after surgery at;

St. Joseph Health, Queen of the Valley Medical Center
1000 Trancas St
Napa, CA
Phone: [phone redacted] push 2 + 1109(Room)

Everyone knows such an event can cost tens of thousands of dollars. With Medicare co-pay her deductible alone can be substantial, and she has no income.

Hopefully, $20,000 should help cover the deductible and help pay some living expenses while she recovers. Its too early to tell until after surgery and an assessment of follow up visits and therapy can be determined what the true costs will actually be.

I pray that Jolee's friends and family will have the compassion and a charitable heart to help me get her out of this jam and help both financially and to get the word out.

As many of her friends and family know, the past couple of years or so have been rough for Jolee as it has for many of us Seniors who find injuries like this hard to recover from.

Others know that a little over 10 years ago, Jolee was in a major car accident on Baker Highway near her home in Washington that resulted in her nearly losing her life, and crushing almost every bone in her body resulting in a long fight to keep her home which she finally lost about three years ago.

Jolee had just found a job despite being a Senior and all that is going on in America, and understandably, she was told that her new boss would have to let her go due to this accident.

I know Jolee has friends and family who are more than able to help out in this time of need. She has nothing to fall back on to get her through.

All that said, maybe if everyone contributed what they can, together we could raise enough to help Jolee through this. Please pray for her recovery, and contribute to her cause, if you can.

As I know more, I will update everyone through here, so together we can stay abreast of the progress she is making.

Thanks to everyone.
