Hello, my name is Antonio, I am raising funds for my lovely corgi, Jojo.
He is a soon 5 years old Welsh Corgi who's super hyper and hyper obsessed with balls and herding people.
Sadly, since when he was very young, around 1.5 years old, he was found to have contracted chronic arthritis and arthrosis, especially harsh in his rear legs. It's a fairly common congenital condition that affects a lot of corgis due to their dwarfism. We have tried a lot of methods and therapies through the years, to the point we considered amputating his rear legs, but his damaged spine doesn't allow that. So he's been kept on painkillers and anti inflammatories at all times.
His rear left leg has been atrophied for a good while now, making him focus all of his weight on his right left, which recently we found out had its meniscus and cruciate ligament broken, so now he basically is unable to move, and have to carry him around for his needs.
The dog orthopedic clinic suggested to perform a TTO surgery (Tibial Tubercle Osteotomy) to basically cut the broken parts and replace with a disk and screws which should mechanically stabilize his leg in roughly a year more or less.
As per expenses estimate (as written in the medical sheet by the clinic up here), it will amount to at least the ticked parts, including knee arthroscopy (750€), TTO surgery (650€), oral anesthetics (150€), local anesthetics (60€), amounting to a total of minimum 1610€ if everything goes right and no other issues are found when performing the operation. This also doesn't include the subsequent physical therapy and radiographies for the routine checkups.
I'm in a deep financial debt and my bank does not intend to fund pet expenses as they are deemed non essential, thus I will probably have to resort to rob a bank or something to get closer to funding it.
so ANY help, sharing, prayer is immensely appreciated and will go a long way.
Thank you.
