In Honor of the Late John Wayne-Jointer Sr.
Sunrise* May 26, 1963 - Sunset*June 24, 2020

John Jointer was known for his athletic spirit. He played the position of center and guard for Thomas Carr Howe High School basketball team in 1979 and 1980. He helped bring home the state championship his senior year in 1980. As time went on, he continue to perfect his game by playing for his church league in the Seventh-day-Adventist denomination, Citizen Gas Coke & Coke & Utility Basketball League,  and several community centers in Indianapolis, IN area.

John graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School in the year of 1981.  John was presented by  several college coaches, and basketball scouts, to pursue his basketball career nationwide. John personally  brought to my attention, of his  fear, he was afraid to fly, and travel by plane.  John was born with a heart murmur, which was a health condition of his heart.  John was unable to accept the opportunities, of playing basketball at the community colleges, and to become a professional basketball player. His heart condition, and fear, cause him not to travel by airplane.

John proceeded into the workforce with Citizens Energy Group , after he graduated from Thomas Carr High School.  John worked for{ 38 years }  long tiring hours, regular shift, and overtime hours. John attend  work on his Sunset date June 24, 2020.

John was a  Citizens Energy Group employee, to respond at  The Richmond Hill Explosion, which took place on November 10, 2012 in Indianapolis, Indiana. United States. John arrived at the house, that had been exploded. John brought to my attention,  He said; Debbie I had to {PRAY}, before getting out of the truck, and entering into the house  to do my  job, due to his heart condition and fear.

John was acknowledged and rewarded of his community work. It was a {SURPRISE MOMENT}  to John, we all help, put a smile on his face, he was presented an award, for his service to our community.
Service was held at the Eastside Seventh day Adventist Church. A  Big " Thank you from John to everyone, who came to show him their love and support.
The Community Service  Award Day for (John)  was planned by (Debra  Wilburn) Sister.

John believed in living life to the fullest. His desire to positively impact others around him; family, friends, professional network, and his church meant the world to him. The humility he had for humanity spoke for itself. He believed in building a community of individuals who displayed love. He was a man full of compassion, strength, trust, and loyalty. Every interaction he had with others, they were inspired by the imparted wisdom he shared. He poured into so many people (young and old) and desired them to live a purposeful life just like he did.

John had a giving heart. He was a provider for his family, and a great friend. He always put the need of others before his own. You did not have to know him personally for him to lend a helping hand. If someone needed food, clothing, gas in their car, or a bill paid, he met that need. Also, during holiday season, he would gift children with toys and other donations. The selfless acts he displayed is the Christian heart we all should have.

We would like to continue his legacy by donating funds to help support school athletic, and educational departments nationwide. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, we all will help our youth  to receive laptops computers, to further their education in their homes.
