Supporting the Maiwela ‘Ohana

Aloha friends, family, and community,

My name is Katie, and I have the privilege of working alongside Ruth at Ka'ōhao. I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of her and her precious family as they navigate an unimaginable loss.

Keoni recently passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a deeply loved husband, father, and friend whose presence brought light, music, and aloha to so many, especially within our Kaʻōhao ‘ohana, the Kailua community, and across Oʻahu.

Ruth, Max, Jadon, Marly, Dakota and Brian are navigating an unimaginable loss. We wanted to create a way for our community to come together and show our love and support.

We are asking for support to help ease the financial burdens that come with this loss. Funds raised will go toward:

Medical Bills

Memorial and service costs

Daily living expenses as Ruth takes time to be present with her children

Ongoing support for the kids and their needs in the months ahead

Any funds raised beyond immediate expenses will continue to support the family as they navigate the months ahead.
