Welcome to the Joinery Kitchen & Cafe, Lopez Island's newest breakfast and lunch joint! We look forward to feeding you all our delicious brunch fare, special sandwiches, and custom pickles and jams made from the abundant local produce. Open 7AM-2PM Thursday-Tuesday, we are pleased to offer delicious food, reliable service, and a welcoming space for hardworking islanders and visitors alike.

We want to be open and serving you food as soon as possible. Our goal is to make this space and this apparently simple restaurant into a vibrant and long-lived offering to the community. We need your support to get this up and running. Meeting this fundraising goal would allow us to rent the building, pay for utilities, make essential repairs, outfit the kitchen with appliances and equipment, build and stock our pantry, and pay labor, all while affording to live here on Lopez. An itemized list of some of our equipment costs is included below. We hope that the generosity of the Lopez community will allow us to bring something new and delicious to the island!

About Us:

We are all islanders and you may know us already! We all moved here early in the pandemic to work on farms, and have since worked nearly every kind of job that this island has to offer. Carpenter, cook, bartender, yoga teacher, farmer, barista, even 'community alchemist'! So whether you know Tony from the Senior Lunch and Meals on Wheels, Lys from their excellent yoga class, or Daniel from the Lopez Library, we hope that you are excited as we are to enjoy a tasty lunch with neighbors and friends.
