Anyone who knows Zenia knows she has one of the kindest hearts and brightest spirits. She’s thoughtful, loving, and always manages to lift others up, even on the days when she isn’t feeling her best. Her laughter, positivity, and genuine care for people are just a few of the many things that make her so special.

Recently, Zenia received the life-changing news of a triple-negative breast cancer diagnosis. Triple-negative breast cancer is an aggressive form of breast cancer that grows and spreads more quickly than other types, leaving fewer treatment options and requiring equally aggressive care. With chemo often comes difficult side effects such as hair loss, severe fatigue, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, bone pain, infections, memory loss, intense brain fog, and several other side effects that make every day life incredibly challenging.

In her true fashion, she continues to face these challenges with strength and grace, but the reality is that the journey ahead is far more demanding than expected.

Her treatment plan includes 5 months of intensive chemotherapy followed by several daily rounds of radiation. This was the very path we hoped she could avoid, making this unexpected journey more physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming.

As many know, Zenia is a devoted childcare provider who pours so much love and patience into the little ones she cares for. Unfortunately, treatment has made it impossible for her to work during this time, creating an even heavier mental and financial strain on top of everything she's already navigating.

Despite all of this, Zenia remains hopeful, rooted in her faith, and surrounded by people who love her deeply. We're believing for her full healing, strength, and brighter days ahead.
