Join with Dan in his Cancer Journey

Dear Friends and Supporters:

Today

I come to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for support for someone very special to me, my boyfriend Daniel Ferguson. He was recently diagnosed with Stomach Cancer.

Dan is known and by the underground Metal community; is known for his care and commitment with his son, and his community, the Metal Scene, for which is heavily promoted and made available by Abyss Records.

This past Thursday, after being unwell and without medical coverage, Dan visited the ER, had an initial scan and learned the devastating news. There appears to be four masses in his stomach, and some nodules on is liver.

A biopsy was completed with a pathologist to confirm they had enough tissue, his belly was drained of six liters of fluid. (Think about that... that’s three 2-liter bottles!)

The Oncologist spoke to talk to Dan and confirmed it is likely cancer, although at this point is unknown if it malignant or possibly benign. This cancer, at this time, is unknown where it originated and that needs to be determined before treatment can begin.

We do have confirmation his lungs, pancreas and gall bladder are not affected. There are more tests to perform and information to gather. The road is just at the beginning.

The road to recovery will be long and arduous, but with your support, we can help ease his burden and provide the financial assistance he desperately needs.

UPDATE:

Dan had an endoscopy and colonoscopy today that revealed a clean, healthy colon, and the discovery of a large heital hernia.

we are still waiting for the biopsy outcome and have an appointment Monday with the Oncologist.

Hoping for continued clarity and answers.

Today, we cannot rule out the possibility just yet, that it may not be cancer.

Today, the road ahead is still unknown...
