My name is Nicole, the daughter of Wilma. This is extremely hard for me to write, but I've had many close friends and family members urge me to start a GoFundMe for her, as she has so many out there that want to help her but are unsure how they can contribute.

Many of you know my mama as the most selfless, caring, fun-loving woman, with an infectious smile and unforgettable laugh. She is the first to lend an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or a hand to hold when others are in need. She is also the last person to ask for help for her own needs.

Here is where the story begins...

My mama was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, an incurable blood cancer, back in June 2024. This happened just a week prior to her dad passing away. This diagnosis stopped us in our tracks. She was the last person anyone close to her ever imagined this happening to. There were tumors, caused by Multiple Myeloma, on her spine and skull. These tumors caused my mama extreme pain at the time of diagnosis. Her medical team had her undergo radiation for these tumors for the pain, in addition to weekly visits to Kaiser for infusions which were to attack all her infected cells that lived in her bone marrow and also strengthen her bones at the same time. She has also taken her healing into her own hands and made the conscious decision to change her lifestyle. She stopped drinking, stopped eating refined sugars, and began a juicing regimen. We are extremely happy to share that her body has been responding amazingly to her treatments; however, she will need to have a bone marrow transplant (BMT) which the process is set to begin on January 14, 2025.

This is where this big ask comes into the equation. This BMT will be the cause of a financial burden to my mama. The BMT will require her to reside within the "safe zone" of Stanford Hospital for a minimum time frame of 6 weeks to quite possibly a few months. She will also require 24-hour care throughout this process. We are asking for help to relieve any added financial stress this poses to create. Even if you are unable to help financially, a simple prayer and/or share on social media would be appreciated just as much as any monetary value.
