Update: We got results for his spleen back and unfortunately the cancer is malignant and will eventually spread we are trying our best give him a pain free last couple months please help us in giving that to him
Hello everyone! This is Whiskeys family and we are asking for some help , whiskey gave us a big scare Tuesday night he showed signs of dehydration and fatigue we bought him to the emergency vet and they let us know he was internally bleeding and losing oxygen to his brain and heart they referred us over to all 4 pets and got him into care right away.
Whiskey got an x-ray and ultrasound done and they found a mass on his spleen and abunch of blood in his stomach they did a blood transfusion and were able to cycle his own blood back into his veins. He went into emergency surgery and they were able to remove his spleen but while he was in surgery they noticed possible masses in his liver. They sent that over for testing and we will being hearing back if it is cancer.
After surgery he developed a arrhythmia they suspected that whiskey had water in his lungs and his heart wasn’t functioning right we did an x-ray no fluids in his lungs and we waited for him to get an echocardiogram on his heart, we awaited those results and they came back okay but he has a slight heart murmur. We got news Thursday morning that he was stable but a couple hours later his white blood cell count is too high and they thought it was best to keep him an extra night to do another ultrasound to make sure he’s not having any other issues.
To summarize his visit due to the toll his body has been through he is now anemic with a heart murmur and with possible liver cancer the vet gave us an estimated time he would live and minimum is 4 weeks max is 6 months if it is liver cancer. We did everything we can to give him a second chance and we wanna be able to treat his cancer with chemo. If you could please donate any amount that you can to help us out it would be so greatly appreciated!
