Join Wes on His Kayak Fishing Quest

Howzit! My Name is Wes Calvan and I'm a Kayak Fisherman born and raised on the island of Maui. My mission has been to master every style of fishing in the true "Hawaiian Style" way, the simplest way. Ive been paddling my "Traditional Style" kayak throughout Maui waters for the past couple years, battling every species and also winning tournaments.

As the champion of the 2024 Makena Landing Tournament, I'll be representing Hawaii in Extreme Kayak Fishing "Summer Slam II" held in Pompano Beach, FL. I was also, chosen to represent the United States in the World Championship of Kayak fishing. This event will be held in Piombino, Italy!

Ive been blessed with the opportunities to showcase talent from a small island in the Pacific. I want to share with the world, that you don't have to have the fanciest gear or the biggest kayak. With the right preparation and true love for the ocean, you can make miracles happen.
