Hi, I'm Darren Marlar from the Weird Darkness podcast.

Every October, I dedicate Weird Darkness to raising funds for organizations that help people who struggle with depression.

This year, the total raised in October will be divided equally between four organizations:

The Crisis Text Line

Save.org

I'll close out the fundraiser at the end of October and announce how much we raised. A gift of any amount will bring us closer and closer to our goal - or even help us surpass it!

We all know someone who struggles with depression - whether you realize it or not. It's something those who suffer tend to deal with in silence, in the shadows. But the organizations I've listed above are working to make it easier for those in the darkness to come into the light, to find help, and to know that you are not alone in your depression - and there are ways to overcome the darkness and live a normal life. I'm evidence of that, as I struggle with depression myself.

So please, give what you can, share this campaign with others, and challenge them to donate and share just as you have!
