Wade’s Warriors: A Call for Support for the Reichling family
In early February, Wade started experiencing abdominal discomfort. With four kids and flu season in full swing, he initially thought it was just a stomach bug. However, when his symptoms worsened, including bloating, Wade and his wife, Hannah, decided to seek medical attention.
After imaging, doctors discovered troubling signs of cancer, including fluid in his abdomen, concerns for small bowel cancer, and peritoneal metastases. Wade and Hannah were devastated and filled with fear. Within hours, Wade was transferred to Sioux Falls for further testing, where doctors drained 2.5 liters of fluid from his abdomen to alleviate his pain.
Over the next two weeks of extensive testing, it was confirmed that Wade has Burkitt lymphoma, the most aggressive form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He immediately began chemotherapy to combat this aggressive cancer. Though the first round of treatment went relatively well, his plan has been adjusted, and Wade now faces even more intense treatment — 10-day chemotherapy infusions at a time — requiring extended hospital stays for multiple rounds.
As Wade and Hannah navigate this difficult journey, they need our support. Medical bills, travel expenses, childcare, and day-to-day living expenses are piling up. Wade’s family is facing an overwhelming financial burden on top of the emotional toll.
We are reaching out for your help to lighten the load during this challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly to helping Wade and his family with the expenses they are facing in this fight. Your support means the world to them as they take on this battle together.
Thank you for your generosity, love, and prayers.
