Hi, my name is Victoria Drinkard, and I never imagined my story would include this much loss or this much fight.

What began as the heartbreaking loss of a pregnancy quickly spiraled into something far worse. I experienced three D&Cs (dilation and curettage) after my miscarriage one of them was done in an office setting without proper pain management, care, or compassion. I was told it would be quick and routine. Instead, it was traumatic and careless.

That procedure left me with severe, permanent internal damage. I lived with unbearable pain and complications that doctors kept dismissing. I was told it was all in my head, or “just constipation” until it wasn’t.

The damage was so extensive that I ended up needing a full hysterectomy… at just 26 years old.

Since then, I’ve undergone 10 surgeries, endured over 30 hospital visits, multiple extended hospital stays, and I still have two more surgeries ahead of me. I live with chronic pain, bowel issues, fatigue, PTSD, and the trauma of being medically ignored and mistreated at my most vulnerable.

This has flipped our family’s world upside down. My husband had to leave his job to become my full-time caregiver and to help care for our children. We’ve lost income, time, energy, and honestly so much of the life we once knew. But what we haven’t lost is hope.

We are raising funds to help cover:

• Medical bills and surgeries still to come

• Cost of therapies and trauma treatment

• Monthly expenses while I’m recovering

• Basic needs for our family while we try to stay afloat

This wasn’t the path I chose, but I’m determined to keep going for my children, my husband, and for every woman who’s ever been dismissed, ignored, or left broken by the people who were supposed to help them heal.
