Hi, my name is Victoria, and I am 29 years old. I live in Waco with my beautiful family. I’m passionate about spending time with my family and friends, teaching all students, helping them grow, and encouraging them to become the best version of themselves, and traveling! I have been a teacher for the past 5 years and this year I am an Assistant Principal Intern! It has been an amazing and inspiring journey. I have learned so much and am ready to learn so much more!
Last July I was hospitalized and diagnosed with bilateral dermoid cysts in both ovaries that require surgery. Emergency surgery was considered but due to complications, my surgery has been postponed until later this month! After consulting with my doctor and specialist, I have been advised to undergo a robotic cystectomy procedure to remove the cysts and attempt to save both of my ovaries. Without this procedure, I risk the loss of my ovaries and potential infertility issues in the future! *wooooo so much more intense when writing about it*
The cost of this surgery, including pre- and post-op care, is more than I can afford on my own. With medical insurance covering only part of the expense, I am left with approximately $7,000 out of pocket costs!
This is where I need your help. Any donation, no matter how small, will bring me closer to being able to get the surgery I need! I’m reaching out because I need help. I’ve always tried to be strong and handle my struggles on my own, but this surgery is something I simply cannot manage without support. Your generosity will help me regain my health and continue living life to the fullest and maybe have mini-me’s in the future!
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story. Whether you choose to donate or share my story with others, your support means the world to me.
Thanks again, love you all,
V
