Please join us as we support Steve White – a dedicated father of three and one of the strongest people we know – in the fight of his life
Nine months ago, Steve’s life was forever altered by a devastating stroke that left half his body paralyzed and unable to swallow food. Stranded in Hershey PA, the generosity of friends on GoFundMe paid for his ambulance transfer to Connecticut, where the support of his loving kids and family and first-class rehabilitation treatment awaited. Through hard work and perseverance, Steve was making progress. That was abruptly cut short by two significant setbacks…a serious lung infection requiring surgery with an extended hospital stay, and more recently, a broken hip. After nine months (and counting) of continued hospitalization, Steve is working towards more independence within the limitations of his continued paralysis.
As you can imagine, there have been huge medical bills associated with his rehabilitation and medical care, leaving no funding for the tools that Steve will need to acquire a more independent lifestyle; e.g., continued rehabilitation, mechanized wheelchair, handicapped-equipped car, etc. Steve will need our help to begin his journey toward independence.
Steve’s selfless devotion to mentoring others is a calling that has positively impacted those of us who have been blessed by his steadfast friendship and mentorship. All of us can recount stories when Steve devoted himself to provide us guidance and support, or when he promoted our success above his own. Now, it’s our turn to repay Steve’s kindness, and be the wind beneath his wings, helping him achieve a fulfilling life.
