Hi friends and family,

I am writing to request support for my nephew, Kyler Welsh. Kyler was out with friends and out of nowhere got knocked unconscious from someone who brutally attacked him from behind. Unfortunately the attacker’s identity is unknown and therefore, no arrests have been made. Kyler was taken to the ER in DM and then by ambulance later to Iowa City where a team of specialists could perform oral surgery.

Kyler has a long road ahead to recover from multiple broken bones in his jaw which required plates be inserted to hold fractures and his mouth being wired shut for at least 8wks.

Asking for funds to help pay for supplies to aid in his care (i.e. healthy, high protein liquid only diet for several months), funds to help cover bills while out of work, several trips back and forth to IC for surgeon appts., and to help begin to address medical bills.

My heart hurts to watch someone I love who was in the wrong place at the wrong time suffer so greatly. Anything will help and is appreciated by Kyler and our family.
