Stop the Chainsaws: Protect 1,200 Trees in Rock Creek Park

Donation protected
THE CRISIS
Rock Creek Park, a protected National Park and beloved DC sanctuary, faces an unprecedented threat. This November, developers plan to remove over 1,000 mature trees to expand a golf course – destroying irreplaceable natural heritage in our nation's capital.

WHY THESE TREES MATTER
These ancient trees are more than just part of our landscape:
• Home to endangered wildlife species
• Natural air purifiers for our neighborhoods
• DC's last remaining dark sky viewpoint
• Buffer against the urban heat island effect
• Living history that has stood watch over our community for generations

We have weeks, not months, to act. Your donation will fund our emergency response:
• Legal expertise to challenge the development
• Community awareness materials and yard signs
• Public education campaigns
• Coalition rapid-response initiatives

YOUR IMPACT
Your donation, whether $5 or $500, strengthens our collective voice and makes a difference in protecting:
✓ Critical wildlife habitat
✓ Clean air for our community
✓ Shade and cooling in a densely built-up city environment
✓ Natural heritage that belongs to all of us, and
✓ The principle that our National Parks deserve protection.
