I’m Sydney Haldeman, and I'll be running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon on behalf of THE END FUND INC.! Our mission is crucial: despite being preventable for just 50 cents per person, neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) threaten the lives of 1.495 billion people across the globe. Among them are nearly 1 billion children, who face irreversible consequences that can affect their health and future opportunities. I believe every child should have the opportunity to attend school, play with their peers, and grow up in good health, free from preventable disease.

The END Fund works tirelessly by pooling philanthropic contributions to support innovative and cost-effective programs. We partner with governments and local organizations to deliver vital treatments, surgeries, and enhance local capacities, all aimed at eliminating these diseases and allowing people to thrive. As a public health professional and infectious disease researcher, I am honored to represent The END Fund at this year's TCS New York City Marathon.
