Most everyone who attended West High in the past 30 plus years, will remember Marlisa Batie! She kept us in line while also caring about all of us. I recently learned from her two daughters that Marlisa had a stroke on September 5. While she is medically stable now, she will be transferring to an independent living facility in the coming weeks to continue her recovery. The family is managing as best they can but will need to purchase a hospital bed, a Sara Stedy (to help her move from sitting to standing) and a special recliner chair. Any excess funds will be used to support her long-tem care needs as she will require assistance beyond what her insurance will cover.
