I am a painting contractor. Not long ago, I fell from an extension ladder to the ground. I fractured my number 4 lumbar and I am not able to conduct business for at least 6 weeks. I work alone and have no other source of income. My wife works part-time and is near retirement. We cannot manage our ongoing bills with only her part-time income, not to mention the looming hospital bill and emergency care not covered by our medical insurance.
