Join Us: Support Tyee's Class of 2005 Reunion

This is the GoFundMe for Tyee's class of 2005 20th Annual Reunion!

Right now, my plan is to try to get a picnic shelter at Angle Lake Park. There are 4 shelters there so I'm hoping we won't have an issue with getting one. The shelters range from $150-$300 for the full day.

At a minimum, we just need to cover that, but would be great if we can raise a bit more to get some refreshments!

At the low end, I can grab some fruit, veggie and cheese trays from the grocery store, but if we raise a bit more, we can order catering from somewhere like Birrieria La Santa Tacos to get a taco bar with some sides. For example, I can place an order for a Taco Bar with Rice, Beans, and Chips, Guac and Salsa for $510 after tax and tip. This would feed a little over 20 people so would need to scale as people join. I like taco bars because they tend to work with a lot of dietary needs (GF, vegetarian, dairy free, etc.) - and they're tasty. :)

What we end up doing will be dictated by how much we have to work with.

From there, we can make it a BYOB situation (reminder this is a park so you'll need to red cup any alcoholic beverages). If we raise enough, I can grab some N/A beverages, and it might be best if I get the basics (soda, water, seltzer water, etc.) and then let everyone bring their beverage of choice. For non-alcoholic beverages I think we'd be looking at $100-150.

So, grand total that I'd love to get to for 20 people is $960, which comes to $48 per person. If more people end up wanting to come, great! I would still target $48 to help scale up appropriately.

However, if that's not a doable number for you, just put in what you can! I want anyone who wants to come to be able to come, so please put in whatever you're comfortable with. I will plan to share a final budget that shows where the money went.
