On September 11, 2024, Donna was working a flight to Palm Beach International Airport. After landing, she told a fellow flight attendant that she felt like she was going to pass out and asked to page for a doctor. It had been a rough flight with an aborted landing. The crew asked for a doctor on board, and one was quickly able to access her. While speaking to the doctor, Donna lost consciousness and was intubated on the plane due to internal bleeding, as she did not regain consciousness. The doctor determined that an ambulance was necessary. Upon its arrival, Donna was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center a Level 1 Trauma hospital. Once there, a neurosurgical team performed a procedure to relieve the pressure on her brain.

Donna remains in Florida in critical condition still sedated and minimally responsive. The road to recovery is long and uncertain.

Whether at work or in her personal life, her kindness, selflessness, and incredible sense of humor have touched the lives of so many.
