Uplifting Holly Through Her Battle

My name is Richard, and this is a campaign to raise funds for my sister for her upcoming medical expenses and all the unforeseen expenses that will be around the corner with her recent diagnosis.

It doesn't take very long to figure out that Holly Bui is not an ordinary woman. She has poured her entire life into her three beautiful children, her local church, her baseball/softball communities, her lucky husband, and everyone she's had the opportunity to bless within arm's reach. For as long as I've known her, she's never been comfortable asking for much of anything. Always a giver, always putting others before herself. She is as strong-headed as they come, so when she called me with that terrible news, I knew it wasn't time to lay down and quit; I knew she was ready to fight. But when I heard her shaky voice mutter the words, "I have cancer," my eyes blurred with tears and my world began to shake. All I could think was, "Be strong for her, she's never needed you like she does right now." She didn't ask me for anything other than a shoulder to cry on and an understanding ear, but I knew she was going to need help.

I've never been good with words or public speaking, I've never had a platform or even much of a social media presence, but I pray that whoever this reaches would join me in this outpouring of love and support for my sister and her family in these upcoming difficult months. Between paying for COBRA to finish out this year's insurance policy, all the countless doctor's visits, and all the support she will need while she's healing from surgeries and cancer treatments, I'm hoping to raise whatever we can to help ease the financial burdens on the horizon.
