Our father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend, Tim Lothe, has recently suffered a massive stroke. Unfortunately, he is underinsured and won’t be eligible for Medicare for nearly a year. Even if emergency coverage becomes available, it will take months before approval. In the meantime, his family and friends are dedicated to ensuring he gets the best care possible to aid his recovery and alleviate the financial burden on his loved ones.
Tim is a man who has touched so many lives. Born and raised in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, he is a proud supporter of the Green Bay Packers and the Wisconsin Badgers. He wrestled at Arizona State University, where he forged lifelong friendships with those now rallying to support him. He is the beloved patriarch of a growing family in the Houston area, where his grandchildren adore him. Tim’s humor, kindness, and resilience have made him an irreplaceable presence in our lives, and now he needs our help.

Tim’s Current Condition & Urgent Needs
On February 16, 2025, Tim was moved from the ICU to the IMU, a step down from critical care. While this is a sign of progress, he is still in a tough battle. He suffered a large brain bleed covering almost a quarter of the right side of his brain, which has left him without function on the entire left side of his body. His vitals are being closely monitored, and he is receiving physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), and speech therapy (ST) in hopes of regaining some movement.
After extensive research and calls, we have found a facility for acute inpatient therapy. Tim was transferred to PAM Rehabilitation, where he will undergo intensive therapy—three hours a day, five days a week—for at least three weeks. This rehabilitation is critical to his recovery and gives him the best chance of regaining feeling and function on his left side. However, since insurance does not cover this care, we are paying out of pocket, and the costs are significant.
How You Can Help
We are raising funds to cover Tim’s medical expenses, including:
● Acute inpatient rehabilitation (3 weeks minimum)
● 24/7 nursing care
● Physical, occupational, and speech therapy
● Medical equipment and ongoing care needs
● Potential long-term therapy beyond the initial rehabilitation period

Every donation, no matter how small, helps ease the financial burden on our family and ensures Tim gets the best possible care. Your generosity will give him the support he needs to regain his independence and quality of life.
Tim’s Fighting Spirit
Despite everything, Tim’s humor and good-natured spirit remain strong. He is still cracking jokes, making us laugh, and keeping us all hopeful. He knows this journey will be challenging, but he is ready to fight. Our minimum goal is to help him sit on his own and get in and out of a chair without assistance. Of course, our ultimate hope is for even greater progress.

Tim is currently battling a respiratory infection but is receiving antibiotics and breathing treatments. We are optimistic about his recovery, but it will take time, patience, and extensive therapy.
We are beyond grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support. Your contributions, messages, and encouragement mean the world to us. We will continue to update you on Tim’s progress, and we appreciate any help you can provide.
Please donate and share this campaign with others who know and love Tim. Together, we can give him the best chance at recovery.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
