Join Us in Supporting Tyler, Samantha, and Baby Marley

Hi everyone! I'm hoping everyone who reads this can help out. Tyler and Samantha are a young couple who recently gave birth to their beautiful baby, Marley. Marley has been a fighter! She was born several weeks early and had some complications gaining weight that required the hospital to keep her a little longer than expected. Samantha was also very sick during this time and had to stay in the hospital with pneumonia. While this was an equally exciting and scary time, the young parents were also faced with finding out about the terminal illness of Tyler's mother, Rita, who has been one of my longtime friends. Tyler spent many nights going back and forth to the hospital, taking care of his mother and their furbabies, and balancing all of that with the birth of his daughter and sick fiancée.

As days turned into weeks, Tyler and Samantha noticed some concerning things going on with baby Marley. One evening they noticed Marley having a seizure and called for an ambulance. That took her to Jeff City to see what was happening to her. She was also having trouble swallowing and seemed to struggle to breathe during feeding times. Being those worrying, first time parents, they sought out their pediatrician's advice, which turned into trips to Rolla hospital, then to hospitals in Jeff City, Columbia, and St. Louis just to figure out what was going on with Marley. They are currently at Columbia hospital as I write this, trying to get answers that seem to baffle the doctors' theories (completed swallow tests, MRI, and EEG), but still haven't figured out what is truly causing the issue with her struggling to breathe. They really want to take Marley to KC's Mercy Children's Hospital and will do that if Columbia can't figure it out. They are doing everything they can to get answers.

So, I tell you all that, to say this; they need our help. All of these trips cost money and with having to take care of the baby and Rita, Tyler has not been able to work. They have been relying on other family members to help with food, special bottles for Marley, and anything that they are needing right now. It's been a whirlwind since January 27th when Marley was born. And they won't rest until they know what is going on with baby Marley. So please, help if you can.
