This gofundme is for the family and loved ones of Sema to provide a peaceful burial for her father. 

A message from Sema:

"Many people are unaware, but my father, Ishmael Colbourne, passed away on August 8, 2025, at 1:03 p.m.

My father was completely blind and suffered from congenital heart disease and stage 4 leukemia. Unfortunately, due to his heart condition, he was unable to undergo chemotherapy or radiation.

Despite his blindness, my father loved his children, grandchildren, and most importantly, his music. He cherished spending time outdoors fishing and engaging with his family before his vision deteriorated. Dad was a people person who was always there for everyone and couldn’t say no. He had a passion for calypso music and was even in a band that won a trophy in the 1980s. Dad was incredibly passionate about life and lived each day as if it were his last. It was devastating to receive the phone call on Friday, August 8, 2025, informing me of my father’s passing. I knew it was coming, but I thought I had more time to prepare. Unfortunately, when it’s your time, there’s nothing anyone can do. I lost my mother to cancer in 2017, and now I’m left feeling like an orphan in this vast world. All I have left are the memories of my father, which I will cherish forever.
