If you’ve had the immense pleasure of meeting my sister, Sarah, then you know how wonderful she is. If you haven’t been lucky enough to get to know her, let me fill you in.

Sarah is pure sunshine. One day God cracked open the sun and out she spilled. Her boisterous joy and laughter are contagious. She lives life through music, singing, playing instruments, and composing beautiful pieces of art. Her relentless compassion is inspiring. She has given endlessly to others for so long; going above and beyond for her students as a teacher, caring for our elderly and disabled parents full time, being the best single mom to her child, as well as serving her community through her church and school. There are so many examples of her giving to others and her community that it would be impossible to list them all.

Sarah has done so much for so many people, and now it’s time for us to do something for her.

On October 22, 2025, Sarah was diagnosed with breast cancer, meaning ahead of her she has treatment and surgeries and then the long road to recovery.
