We gave birth to our baby boy River October 2, 2024. He was born with trisomy 21 and a complete AV canal heart defect which requires open heart surgery within the next 6-8 weeks. I have had to quit my job to take care of our child who is now at Arthur M. Blanks hospital (CHOA) in Atlanta until further notice. He cannot hold down any food and is rapidly losing weight. They are trying to get him to a good place for surgery. The burden of financial responsibility has fell on my husband who is working himself to death and with us having 3 other children at home he leaves me here with our newborn. It’s a newly built hospital and I am able to stay in the room with him but I still have to pay for all my meals being here with him and it’s very expensive not to mention the gas my husband spends commuting back and forth. We have applied for disability for River but that can take months to be approved. If you wish to donate anything that would be great and If not then prayers are appreciated as well. Thank you. ☺️
