Honoring the Life and Legacy of Philip Wayne Hermansen

On February 15, 2025, our beloved Phil passed away peacefully at the age of 67. Phil was more than a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend—he was a source of light and laughter, an artist who saw the world in a unique way, and a man whose kindness knew no bounds.

Phil lived his life with creativity, resilience, and an unwavering love for people. Whether through his art, his service in the Church, or his ability to turn strangers into lifelong friends, he left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met. His backyard was transformed into a magical wonderland for his grandchildren, his murals brightened countless spaces, and his words lifted those who needed them most. Even in the face of lifelong health challenges, he never lost his sense of humor or his habit of giving a thumbs-up, no matter the circumstance.

As we navigate this difficult time, we are raising funds to help cover outstanding medical expenses from Phil’s final months of care, as well as to ease the financial burden on his family. Phil gave so much to others throughout his life, and now we have an opportunity to give back in his honor.
