Our dear friend and coworker at Gold Trail, Nancy Riley, recently received news that no one ever wants to hear. After going in for a few biopsy spots on her cervix, she was told the results came back as cancer. Nancy is devastated, and as a mom of two middle-school kids and essentially a single mother, this news has shaken her world.

Nancy now faces major surgery to remove her cervix, followed by after-care and further testing to make sure the cancer has not spread. During this time, she will be unable to work, and the financial strain on her and her children will be incredibly challenging.

We want to come together as a community to give Nancy a little support — help with bills, groceries, and the essentials while she focuses on healing and being there for her kids.

Nancy is one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. She shows up every day with kindness, warmth, and love for everyone around her. Her children are wonderful, beautiful, and so proud of their mom. She deserves to have a community behind her as she walks through this difficult chapter.
