“It started with $200… and a conversation that changed everything.”
Right now, we’re in Qatar, preparing to travel from Charlotte, North Carolina to Amboseli, Kenya.
This wasn’t supposed to be big.
We went online just trying to help in a small way… maybe send a few supplies. That’s when we met James, a local in Amboseli who works closely with Maasai children.
We told him we wanted to start with $200 for school supplies.
He smiled and said something that stuck with us:
“Anything helps… but if you really want to make an impact, buy it here.”
Because of import taxes and shipping costs, sending supplies from abroad actually reduces how much reaches the kids. But buying locally? That stretches every dollar and supports the community at the same time.
That moment flipped a switch.
This isn’t about what we can do anymore.
It’s about what we can all do together.
We now have a short window until May 3rd to raise as much as we can. When we arrive in Amboseli, we’ll personally use every dollar to buy school supplies locally and place them directly into the hands of Maasai children.
Not someday. Not through a middleman.
Direct impact.
A notebook becomes a dream.
A pencil becomes possibility.
A backpack becomes pride.
If you’ve ever wanted to be part of something real… this is that moment.
Give what you can.
Share if you feel it.
Be part of the story.
Let’s show what a few people… can turn into many!
